Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families on health conditions and self-care.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care and maintain thorough documentation. The role requires RN licensure, an Associate degree (BSN preferred), and strong communication skills; night

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with ongoing evaluation and revision.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and outcomes in the medical record.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and adjust plans to improve health outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance to maintain a safe environment.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care to healthcare team members as needed.
• Engage in continuous professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond to code situations with appropriate interventions.
