Job summary

UC Health’s West Chester Hospital is seeking a PRN Health Unit Coordinator for the night shift in the Obstetric Services department. The HUC provides clerical support to the clinical team, transcribes physician orders, and maintains patient records from admission to discharge.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent (HUC education preferred), 1–2 years of customer service, excellent communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support to clinical team for daily patient care tasks.
• Transcribe physician orders and maintain patient records from admission to discharge.
• Serve as communication link between patients, staff, visitors, physicians, and departments/other agencies.
• Handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced obstetric unit.
