Job summary

Lesaffre Group in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Nutritional Operator for the 6p-6a night shift. You will ensure proper processing and packaging, monitor QA, and follow GMP and safety rules. The role reports to the supervisor and may involve overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 3 years minimum of experience in a similar position.
• Ability to follow instructions, learn, and ask questions.
• Ability to accurately report process data and maintain process records.
• Mechanical aptitude and trouble-shooting skills.
• Ability to manage time and plan.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and packaging processes is preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates safety-first culture by following all safety protocols and programs.
• Perform sanitation on equipment, infrastructure, grounds, and other assigned areas.
• Monitor quality assurance controls during production and verify data.
• Record and maintain accurate written and electronic information.
• Understand and follow safety, GMP, food safety, and other rules or policies.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect infrastructure and equipment and notify management when maintenance is required.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process problems.
• Communicate with other employees, customers, and management personnel in a respectful and effective manner.
• Learn and operate all equipment in Nutritional. Cover shifts as scheduled. Mandatory overtime may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
