Job summary

Lesaffre Corporation in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Packaging Operator to ensure dried product from spray dryers meets all specifications while adhering to Safety, Quality, and Food Safety procedures.

You will manage and monitor up to two packaging lines, rotate across departments as needed, and work a 6 PM–6 AM schedule to support customer requirements. This role offers growth within the Biospringer team and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 3 years minimum or experience in similar position.
• Mechanical aptitude and trouble‑shooting skills.
• Ability to manage time and plan ahead.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Forklift certification required.
• Stand/walk for long periods; lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow safety, GMP, food safety, and other rules or policies.
• Operate packing line safely and efficiently.
• Inspect dryer infrastructure and notify maintenance when needed.
• Train and work in other departments as needed.
• Support shifts and cover breaks as required.
• Communicate with management about team performance.
