Job summary

Lesaffre, a global leader in fermentation for baking and biotech, seeks a Blending Operator to join the Baking and Breadmaking division. You will weigh, blend, pack, and prepare finished goods for shipment on a rotating night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Responsibilities include staging raw materials, following recipes, operating forklift and floor scrubber, and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time fulfillment in a fast-paced production setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Food product packaging and/or blending experience preferred.
• Shipping and/or receiving experience preferred.
• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and follow through to completion.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work.
• Solid understanding of basic math and science and the ability to apply this knowledge.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be detail oriented and safety minded.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a safety-first culture by following safety protocols and required programs.
• Follow safety programs to ensure proper procedures are followed.
• Staging of required raw materials and packaging materials.
• Follow a recipe to create a blend to be mixed.
• Package product in various packaging types.
• Complete in-process production checks.
• Document, inspect and unload materials per procedures.
• Prepare products for shipment, load trucks and complete paperwork.
• Operate forklift and floor scrubber.
• Maintain warehouse and production areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform routine and non-routing cleaning inside and outside the facility.
• Accurately report data and maintain records.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
