Job summary

Corewell Health in Michigan is seeking a Nursing Technician to support Registered Nurses and Providers with direct patient care during night shifts at Lakeland Hospital Niles. You will observe patients, report findings timely, and participate in care planning with the care team.

You'll work 36 hours weekly on a 7:00 pm - 7:00 am schedule, with weekend rotation, and a focus on compassionate, privacy-aware care in a hospital setting. We offer comprehensive benefits and on-demand pay options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) within 90 days.
• Ability to observe patients and communicate findings to the care team.

Responsibilities

• Collects and reports patients' physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs with RN guidance; ensures timely documentation.
• Provides direct patient care under RN direction, following policies and contributing to care plans; documents accordingly.
• Explains the nursing technician role to patients and team; supports safe, quality care in a cost-effective manner.
• Cleans patient areas and equipment; reports malfunctions to the appropriate department.
• Upholds privacy and confidentiality and demonstrates ethical behavior.
