Job summary

Corewell Health’s Ludington Hospital is seeking a Nurse Tech for the Med Surg Care Unit 2N 2E in Ludington, MI. You will work under an RN or Provider, performing basic nursing tasks, taking vitals, assisting with activities of daily living, and ensuring patient safety during night shifts of 7pm–7:30am.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accurate documentation, and compassionate care for a diverse general medical population. Full-time schedule includes weekends on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life support certification is required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred 2 years of relevant/related experience.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider.
• Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team.
• Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider.
• Responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients.
• Ensures that required documentation is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
