Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Technician for the Medical-Surgical Acute 5E unit on a night shift (6 PM–6 AM), MON-FRI with alternating weekends and holidays. You will perform patient care and support tasks, including vital signs, ADLs, EKGs, dressing changes, specimen collection, and transport of patients under RN supervision.

The role emphasizes infection control, documentation, and collaboration with the health care team.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Prior hospital or patient care experience preferred.
• 4-day EKG class may be required for some Nursing Technicians.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and remain adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing technician duties under RN supervision.
• Conducts vital signs, I&O, EKGs, basic dressing changes and specimen collection.
• Assists with meals, transport, and patient comfort; supports procedures.
• Maintains infection control practices and participates in quality initiatives.
