Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center in White Plains, NY is seeking a Nursing Technician to provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse. Duties include ADL support, vital signs, I&O, performing EKGs, specimen collection, and assisting with meals, transport, and daily activities.

The night-shift role runs 6 PM to 6 AM, with 75 hours per pay period and a pay rate of $25.00-$37.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, less than 1 year of experience typical.
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
• Teamwork, adaptability, and strong problem-solving abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Understands and adheres to hospital performance standards and policies.
• Performs nursing technician duties including ADLs, vital signs, I&O, EKGs, specimen collection and dressing changes.
• Maintains infection control practices and participates in performance improvement initiatives.
• Communicates effectively with the health care team and patients, supporting with meals, transport, and rounds as needed.
• Completes competency requirements and attends required in-services and staff meetings.
