Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; prior hospital/patient-care experience preferred.
• Nursing Technicians who will be trained to read monitors require the 4-day EKG class.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care and non-patient care tasks under RN direction (ADLs, vital signs, I&O).
• Performs EKGs, specimen collection, assists with meals, transports patients, and supports health care providers.
• Adheres to infection control, documentation, and department policies.
