Job summary

Santa Fe Medical Center, part of Presbyterian Healthcare Services, seeks an experienced Administrative Nursing Supervisor to provide leadership and operational oversight across the hospital during assigned shifts.

The House Supervisor ensures safe, high-quality patient care, effective resource utilization, regulatory compliance, and strong support for nursing and interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Associates of Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• NM licensed RN required or out of state compact RN license
• 5 years of relevant experience (acute care-tele or above) and/or leadership nursing experience.
• BLS required

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clinical leadership for hospital operations during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate nursing staffing and patient placement to optimize patient flow and capacity management.
• Serve as the on-site administrative representative and resource for nursing staff, providers, patients, and families.
• Monitor quality of care, patient safety, and compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Respond to emergencies, critical incidents, and patient care concerns, providing leadership and support as needed.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among nursing units, physicians, ancillary departments, and leadership teams.
• Assist with conflict resolution, service recovery, and escalation of patient and family concerns.
• Support hospital throughput initiatives, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Participate in incident investigations and documentation according to organizational policies.
• Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and patient-centered care.
• Mentor staff and provide coaching related to clinical practice, policies, and procedures.
