Job summary

Duke Health's Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC seeks a Nursing Care Assistant I (CNA) for the 9100 Intermediate Care unit on the night shift. This role works full-time on a 3x12 schedule and supports RN/LPN in patient care. No prior experience required; NC NA I certification and BCLS must be maintained.

Qualifications

• No previous work experience required.
• BCLS certification must be maintained/completed by the end of new hire orientation.
• Nursing Assistant I (NA I) with NC DHHS registration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures and provide manual assistance as required.
• Take and record vital signs and I&O, and report changes to RN/LPN.
• Assist with admission, discharge and transportation of patients.
• Maintain patient environment and stock supplies.
