Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Nursing Assistant for Telemetry/Avasure Telesitter.

The NA supports licensed staff in caring for Veterans across inpatient, outpatient, home, and Community Living Center settings, following established policies and under supervision. Responsibilities include ADL assistance, glucose monitoring, charting, and responding to patient changes while maintaining safety and infection control.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist in the full range of nursing care under supervision.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and the healthcare team.
• Recognize and respond to emergent care situations per policy.
• Mentor new NAs and guide practical experience in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Care for patients/residents with acute to chronic conditions in various settings.
• Document care given and observations in appropriate records.
• Promote safety, infection control and attention to equipment in use.
• Participate in Treatment Planning Meetings and mentor other NAs.
