Job summary

Martha Franks Retirement Community in Laurens, SC is seeking a Part-Time Nursing Assistant / Med Tech for the Night Shift to provide overnight care and administer medications to residents.

This dual role supports AL residents through personal care, safety checks, and timely documentation, with a focus on comfort and dignity overnight. Certification as Med Tech or CNA with Med Tech endorsement required; prior AL or memory care experience preferred; reliability and attention to detail encouraged.

Qualifications

• Valid Med Tech / Medication Aide certification recognized in South Carolina (or CNA/Nurse Aide with Med Tech endorsement).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as Med Tech or caregiver in AL/memory care preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Reliable, able to work independently overnight.

Responsibilities

• Medication administration and documentation according to physician orders and policy.
• Assist residents with personal care, mobility, hygiene, and nighttime comfort.
• Nightly safety checks, monitor wellbeing, report changes to supervisor.
• Answer call lights promptly and address unscheduled overnight needs.
• Maintain MARs and care logs; participate in shift hand-offs.
