Job summary

Cedars-Sinai Marina Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the night shift to provide basic patient care to non-acutely ill individuals. You will support RNs, assist with feeding, and help maintain fluid balance while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, current BLS certification, and 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred. English communication and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred).
• Current BLS certification required.
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients within the nursing attendant’s scope of practice.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the nursing attendant’s scope of practice.
• Assist with feeding and maintain fluid balance.
• Notify licensed personnel when patient reports pain or changes in condition.
• Communicate changes in patient status to the RN, unit director, or team leader.
• Assist physicians with procedures and tasks under RN direction.
• Meet current documentation standards and complete shift records.
• Demonstrate professional interaction with patients and families and include them in care planning.
• Provide care appropriate to age and condition of patients including geriatric and general populations.
