Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in San Diego is seeking a patient care partner to support licensed nurses in delivering quality patient care. You will assist with admissions, transfers, and daily patient care while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires BLS certification, a HS diploma (or equivalent), and CNA coursework or equivalent training. Weekend coverage is required with alternating schedules. This position operates under SEIU-UHW agreements.

Qualifications

• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals is required.
• HS diploma or equivalent; completion of CNA or equivalent course.
• 1 year recent experience in geriatric setting or acute care hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with interprofessional team to deliver quality patient care under a licensed nurse.
• Performs patient care with consideration to age-specific needs.
• Assists with admissions, discharge and transfer processes.
• Documents care and room setup accurately and timely.
• Maintains safety and infection control practices.
• Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition to the nurse in charge.
