Qualifications

• BLS required at time of hire.
• Nursing student who has completed a basic clinical skills lab preferred.
• Must have at least 2 years hospital or long term care experience within related field.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, collects and records information in the patient record.
• Transports patients and documents action in patient record.
• Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, grooming, feeding) and positioning.
• Rounds to address patient needs and report to nurse.
• Inserts and removes gastric/urethral tubes; performs enemas and disimpactions.
• Operates monitoring systems and performs bedside tests.
• Delivers specimens to labs and transports x-rays/equipment.
• Maintains unit cleanliness and stocks supplies.
• Performs basic clerical duties and shift handovers.
