Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM is hiring a part of the phlebotomy team to perform blood collection, specimen processing and basic testing under established procedures. The role supports clinical floor staff and ensures accurate data entry and specimen handling.

Qualifications

• HS/GED plus nine months of phlebotomy experience.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Point of care, waived, and moderate complexity testing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and other collection procedures according to established procedures.
• Performs specialized collections such as urine drug collections and PPDs if required.
• Processes requisitions and enters test orders into the computer system.
• Receives, processes and stores specimens; centrifuging, aliquoting and stabilizing.
• Performs waived and moderate complexity testing where trained.
• Maintains routine equipment checks and calibration as needed.
• Orders and maintains supplies and inventory.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Assists clinical staff with stocking, patient transport and related tasks.
