Job summary

Thisiscny is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to oversee daily nursing operations in the inpatient setting and ensure delivery of high-quality care. The role involves coordinating staff, managing staffing needs, and supporting budget, planning, and quality initiatives.

The ANM works off-shift as needed, with Monday–Friday evening/night shifts. Leadership presence and adherence to Upstate policies and procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• RN licensed/registered in NY or eligible.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Two years of post-licensure acute care RN experience (preferably in a specialty).
• CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of assigned nursing area(s).
• Prioritize tasks for nursing staff and resolve staffing issues.
• Assist with goals, planning, and quality improvement activities.
• Ensure adherence to hospital/department policies, standards, and practices.
• Manage administrative and budget aspects and personnel resources.
• Represent Upstate mission and values in daily operations.
