Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks a nursing operations leader to oversee staffing, payroll, audits and regulatory readiness. You will work with the leadership team to drive staff development and ensure service excellence in a Magnet-designated hospital in St. Louis County.

Responsibilities include budgeting, action planning, staff communications and coaching, plus ensuring compliance and performance reviews across shifts and units.

Qualifications

• Job requires coordinating staffing, payroll and regulatory readiness with strong document and audit focus.
• Experience in budgeting, staffing and performance evaluations is expected.
• RN license required and nursing education alignment with leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• May participate in departmental staffing, revenue and expense budgets with adherence to goals.
• Develop action plans, identify trends in patient outcomes related to audits and compliance.
• Perform service recovery for physician and bed management issues; support investigations and resolutions.
• Ensure regulatory and competency requirements; plan corrective actions and audits for readiness.
• Review hours worked vs scheduled; manage payroll updates, time cards and bonuses.
• Lead onboarding, training, workload management and performance evaluations for staff.
