Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking a registered nurse for the night shift to deliver direct patient care in a Magnet-designated environment in St. Louis County.

The role focuses on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards, and requires promoting safety and family-centered care while collaborating with the interprofessional team.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or associate's degree required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; less than 2 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and their families on illness/injury management, post treatment home care needs, and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; engages in professional development.
• Develops and documents individualized plans of care with goals, coordinating with the interprofessional team and patient/family.
• Uses nursing assessment to address physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs, respecting patient values and barriers.
