Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor-Delivery-Postpartum on the Night shift. This full-time role requires delivering high-quality nursing care per hospital standards within the Labor-Delivery-Postpartum unit.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning with the interdisciplinary team, medication administration, and discharge planning. A BSN is preferred with IL RN licensure and BLS certification; ADN with commitment to BSN is acceptable.

Qualifications

• BSN is required for this role.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care per established unit guidelines and standards.
• Assesses patient needs and develops care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administers medications safely and educates patients and families.
• Coordinates discharge planning with the care team.
• Documents patient status and care accurately.
