Job summary

Intermountain Health Saint Joseph's Hospital in Denver, Colorado is hiring a Nurse Clinical Leader to provide leadership and clinical expertise during night shifts on the unit. You will supervise staff, manage resources, and ensure staffing levels align with patient needs and unit KPIs.

The role emphasizes bedside care, precepting, and coaching; strong leadership experience and BSN within four years are preferred.

Qualifications

Current Nursing License to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree will be verified). Registered Nurses (RNs) hired or promoted into this role must obtain their BSN within four years of hire or promotion date.
If there is an existing education agreement, that agreement will take precedence.

Responsibilities

Conducts thorough evaluations of physical, social, and psychological status and coordinates care.
Gathers information from the interdisciplinary team and advocates for nursing teams.
Manages staffing and scheduling to match census and acuities.
Oversees staff competency and performance reviews.
Ensures compliance with policies, regulatory standards, and documentation.
Supports night-shift leadership and unit-based council.
