Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the Ortho/Trauma unit at the Novi Hospital, 7pm–7:30am, 36 hours per week. Under RN supervision, you will assist with patient care, respond to emergencies, and support patient comfort and safety.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CNA preferred, and completion of a Nurse Assistant program. Training in BLS will be provided during orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• CNA preferred.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (titles for similar programs may vary; e.g., PCT or PAT but perform the same job role.)

Responsibilities

• Maintains effective, professional communication with patients, families and healthcare team.
• Assists the RN in admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.
• Provides personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, mobility, comfort, and transportation.
• Maintains a clean, safe, therapeutic environment for patients/families.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Performs general clerical duties as assigned.
