Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Nurse Assistant to join the Ortho/Trauma team at Henry Ford Providence Novi Hospital. Shift: 7pm–7:30am, 36 hours per week, on site in Novi, MI.

You will support RN‑led care, assist with basic patient tasks, and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; CNA preferred; completion of a Nurse Assistant program, or enrollment in a nursing program, or foreign-trained RN.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA preferred.
• Completion of Nurse Assistant program.
• Enrollment in a nursing program acceptable.
• Foreign trained RN without Michigan license acceptable.
• Medical Assistant program acceptable.
• At least 1 year experience as NA/PCT/PAT or similar.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN in admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Maintain safe, clean, and therapeutic environment per HFHS standards.
• Respond to emergencies and alarms, notifying appropriate personnel.
• Document patient care provided and perform general clerical duties.
• Provide personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, mobility).
• Deliver supplies to patient rooms and ancillary departments.
