Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Nurse Assistant to support orthopedic joint replacement, bariatric, and surgical unit patients. You will monitor vitals, perform venipuncture, and participate in team rounding under RN supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications include a Nurse Assistant program completion or enrollment in nursing studies, with priority for candidates having 1 year NA/PCT/PAT experience. Evening shift 6:00PM–6:30AM and commitment to excellence are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program.
• Enrollment in a nursing program (or related coursework).
• Foreign-trained RN relocating to the US without Michigan license may qualify.
• Medical Assistant program may qualify.
• At least 1 year of NA/PCT/PAT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and monitor patient conditions.
• Perform venipuncture and chemsticks.
• Participate in team rounding and care planning.
• Identify concerns and communicate with the RN in charge.
• Respond to emergent situations according to procedures.
