Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Novi is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. Under RN supervision, you will perform routine patient care tasks, assist with admissions and transfers, and help ensure patient comfort and safety in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You should have a high school diploma or GED, CNA preferred, and be prepared to complete a Nurse Assistant program if not already certified.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CNA preferred; completion of a Nurse Assistant program.
• May be enrolled in nursing program with Fundamentals of Nursing completed.
• Foreign trained RN relocating to the United States without Michigan license.
• Medical Assistant program with or without experience.
• At least 1 year of prior NA/PCT/PAT or similar experience.

Responsibilities

• Support RN by providing direct patient care and safety.
• Assist in admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.
• Maintain a clean, safe, therapeutic environment per HFHS standards.
• Document patient care provided and perform basic clerical duties.
• Respond to emergencies and alarms and communicate promptly.
