Job summary

Valley Medical Center & Clinics in Renton, WA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the NICU on the night shift. This full-time (0.9 FTE) position offers a variable sign-on incentive of $10K+. A WA RN license is required; BSN preferred, with BLS certification and NICU or critical care exposure welcomed.

The RN will provide safe, quality care using the nursing process, reporting to the Nurse Manager. Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington state.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Graduate nurse residency program orientation or six months RN experience.
• Preferred for advancement: BSN; two years' clinical/nursing leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, guide, and direct unit workflow; delegate assignments based on acuity and staffing.
• Mentor staff, float, and agency personnel on policies, standards, and goals.
• Demonstrate safe use of nursing equipment and train others.
• Lead and role-model clinical staff; act as a resource for care teams.
• Monitor nursing care and ensure safety and documentation standards.
