Job summary

Responsibilities include ventilator care, line placement, IV therapy, nutrition support, and collaboration with therapy teams to care for premie and term newborns, in a high-tech NICU setting.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of one year in a hospital NICU or similar unit.
• Maryland RN license or eligible compact state license with Maryland requirements.
• Specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ventilator care, CPAP, oxyhood, HFNC and related respiratory support.
• Place and maintain umbilical lines with safety checks.
• Administer IV therapy and antibiotics; manage glucose and fluids.
• Support nutrition through TPN, lipids, gut priming and enteral feeding.
• Collaborate with speech and PT for newborn care.
• Follow NEC prevention protocols and manage NEC cases.
• Collect specimens for central lines and venous/capillary needs.
• Perform procedures like lumbar punctures and phototherapy adjustments.
