Job summary

Ascension in Austin, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the NICU on the night shift. You will deliver direct patient care in a high-acuity Neonatal unit, coordinate with the care team, and document in the EHR to ensure safe transitions. The role requires active RN licensure and BLS; NRP/ STABLE are preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire.
• STABLE certification preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct RN care in NICU following clinical protocols.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care for seamless patient outcomes.
• Document accurately in the EHR to support continuity and quality.
• Assess patients, implement care plans, and support discharge planning.

Skills

BLS within 1 month

RN licensure

STABLE certification (preferred)

Neonatal Resuscitation (AAP) preferred

Education

Diploma in Nursing or RN licensure
