Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a Multi-skilled Technician for a part-time 12-hour night shift. Under RN supervision, you will perform basic patient care activities, including taking glucose measurements and assisting with daily living tasks.

You will also conduct EKGs and phlebotomy per policy, while helping keep rooms stocked and participating in ongoing in-services. Qualifications include high school diploma, ability to read/write English, and CPR within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read, write, and spell English and perform basic arithmetic.
• Experience in patient care is preferred.
• CPR certification on hire or within 60 days and EKG/Phlebotomy training completed or on hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care activities delegated by an RN, including taking blood glucose and monitoring intake/output.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating) and maintain a clean, stocked patient room.
• Perform ordered EKGs and phlebotomy duties per policy and training.
• Attend required in-services and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Support departmental operations and other duties as requested by supervision.
