Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a Monitor Technician to join our Progressive Care Unit.

This entry-level position provides administrative support and patient-facing communication for an assigned area, facilitates communication between physicians, nurses and patients, and assists with monitoring and documentation to promote organized, efficient care.

This full-time night shift runs 7pm–7:30am with an 18% night differential and a flat $1/hour weekend differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification may be required in certain departments.
• ECG/EEG interpretation course or on-the-job training with 85% passing on ECG/EEG test.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous observation of monitors, leads and activity for assigned patients and alert clinicians to changes.
• Obtain calibrated rhythm strips and maintain documentation per policy.
• Provide information and summaries to physicians and staff.
