Job summary

Banner Health in Glendale, AZ, seeks a full-time Monitor Technician to join our PCU-Monitor Techs-Hosp team. You will continuously observe patient monitors, leads and activity, escalate changes to clinical staff, and maintain accurate logs per facility standards.

Shifts are day 6:00am–6:30pm, 3-12 hour rotations including weekends and holidays. The role requires basic ECG/EEG training or on-the-job learning and strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required in some departments.
• ECG/EEG interpretation training or on-the-job learning may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous observation of monitors and patient activity for assigned patients.
• Alert clinical staff to changes and abnormalities.
• Obtain rhythm strips per policy and document changes.
• Provide information and summaries to physicians and staff.
• Monitor and assist in maintenance of monitoring equipment.
• Support department with basic patient-facing duties.
