Job summary

Banner Health's Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a Monitor Technician to join the Progressive Care Unit. This entry-level role provides continuous observation of patient monitors and traffic among physicians, nurses, patients and other departments to support safe, organized care.

This full-time night shift (7:00 pm–7:30 am) offers an 18% night differential plus a flat $1/hour weekend differential, and requires a high school diploma/GED with BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current BLS certification may be required.
• ECG/EEG training or on-the-job training with 85% ECG/EEG pass may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous observation of monitors, leads and patient activity.
• Alert clinical staff to changes or abnormalities.
• Maintain logs of activity and changes per facility standards.
• Provide information and summaries to physicians and staff.
• Monitor and assist in maintenance of monitoring equipment.
• Greet and assist patients, visitors, physicians and staff as needed.
