Job summary

Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is seeking a PRN Medical Laboratory Technician for night shifts, working every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from 6:00pm to 6:30am. The role involves performing routine and complex analyses, specimen accessioning, and ensuring timely, quality results.

Requires completion of an approved education program and at least one year of hospital lab experience; licensure within one year of hire with MLT (ASCP/AMT) or CLA is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for required credentials.
• One year of work or training experience in a hospital laboratory preferred.
• Must obtain one of the listed licenses within one year of hire: MLT ASCP, CLA ASCP, or MLT AMT.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex analyses using laboratory equipment.
• Accession and process specimens to ensure timely results.
• Maintain quality control and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Education

Graduate of education program approved by credentialing body
