Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform pre- and post-analytical duties, manage specimens, and support technical staff. The role includes proficiency testing, safety compliance, and potential preceptor duties for new hires and students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Work experience: 2+ years of clinical lab experience preferred.
• Licensure/certification requirements per CLIA guidelines may apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-analytical activities including equipment maintenance, inventory control, specimen collection, and cleaning of lab spaces.
• Conduct post-analytical activities such as reporting results and providing technical support.
• Participate in proficiency testing and adhere to regulatory policies.
• May act as a preceptor to orient and train new staff and students.
