Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando seeks a Laboratory Technician to perform pre-analytical and analytical procedures, maintain equipment, and ensure quality and safety across the lab. You will prepare specimens, run tests, report results, and assist clinical staff while upholding regulatory standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related laboratory field, strong English communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Cites CLIA equivalency if field of study does not match.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-analytical activities: equipment maintenance, inventory, specimen collection and processing.
• Conducts post-analytical activities: reporting results and providing technical support.
• Completes tests and procedures per SOPs; participates in proficiency testing and quality improvement.
• Follows safety policies, PPE usage, and hazardous waste handling; educates staff as needed.
• Supports clinical staff and resolves customer service issues within guidelines.
