Job summary

Allina Health in Minneapolis is seeking a Medical Laboratory Professional to join our Central Lab team on the night shift. You will perform waived to high complexity tests across multiple areas using advanced technology, contributing to the processing of millions of tests annually.

In this role you may oversee as a key operator, participate in procedure development and competency programs, and train students and new staff while maintaining compliance with CLIA, HIPAA and other regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related laboratory field including clinical rotations.
• MLS certification within 180 days if not certified.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived to highly complex laboratory procedures according to policies and federal regulations.
• Evaluates results for accuracy and resolves complex test problems.
• Trains students and new employees, and participates in annual competency observations.
• May function as Charge Tech in absence of Lead/Supervisor/Manager.
• Maintains instrument maintenance and quality control; ensures proper record-keeping.
