Job summary

Uponor in Apple Valley, MN is hiring for a production mixer role that supports material mixing and tool coating on the production floor. This position requires working a 12-hour night shift and involves staging mixed material hoppers, disposing of scrap, and preparing PEX tools for extrusion.

The responsibilities include operating the mixer and tooling equipment, handling raw materials, documenting data on the Production Log, and collaborating with the shift lead to drive lean improvements.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Basic mechanical and technical skills are required.
• Must be able to problem solve, multitask/prioritize and pay attention to detail.
• Must be able to work a 12-hour shift.
• Manufacturing experience of 1-3 years is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operates Mixer at a high efficiency level.
• Operates all tool processing equipment.
• Handles raw materials.
• Maintain work area by keeping all tools and equipment in designated areas. -5's.
• Monitors all functions of Mixer (A), (B), and while in operation documents all data on Production Log.
• Maintains communications with the lead and supervisor of the mixing and tooling group.
• Handles and disposes of scrap material.
• Seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in lean initiatives.
