Job summary

Generac in Wisconsin is seeking Welder I through Welder III to join our fabrication team on the 3rd shift (Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM). Welders will perform MIG, aluminum, TIG, and robotic welding to fabricate parts for assembly lines, ensuring high-quality finished products.

Safety rules, blueprints, and standard work must be followed, with opportunities for training and growth. The Welder I role requires basic welding experience and an internal weld test, with wage starting at $21.25/hr

Qualifications

• High school diploma or certification required.
• Welder I requires internal weld test (written/physical).
• Basic welding experience or training is expected.
• Understanding of welding fundamentals.
• Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment.
• Welder II: 1 year production welding experience, testing, and ongoing training.
• Welder III: 2 years production welding experience and root-cause problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules and operate equipment safely.
• Flex across products/areas to support business needs.
• Provide training to new employees on work instructions.
• Follow established procedures and engineering drawings.
• Assist with robotic welder operations.
• Weld using MIG, Aluminum, TIG and stick processes as required.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools.
• Weld complex components and operate robotic welder.
