Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and welding symbols to plan procedures.
• Proficiency in GMAW/MIG techniques and understanding metal properties.
• Ability to read and understand verbal instructions and written specs.
• High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• 1+ years of industrial welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication & Welding: MIG weld on sheet metal and structural components using jigs and fixtures.
• Technical interpretation: read blueprints and weld symbols to plan procedures.
• Equipment setup: adjust voltage, amperage, wire feed and shielding gas flow.
• Preparation & finishing: clean, grind or sand and finish welded parts.
• Quality control: inspect joints for defects to meet strength and cosmetic standards.
• Safety & maintenance: follow 5S, keep workspace clean, perform basic equipment maintenance.
