Night Shift Weld Operator I – Full Time

Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Weld Operator I to perform MIG and TIG welding across a variety of material gauges, alloys, and positions. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on metalworking experience who takes pride in producing high-quality welds and meeting precise specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Select appropriate gas and wire for each welding process
• Perform MIG and TIG welding on customer products to specification
• Cut materials using oxy‑acetylene and plasma torches as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
• Fabricate, join, and repair metal components
• Execute groove, fillet, lap, butt, and full‑penetration welds
• Perform multi‑pass welds and full‑penetration stacks
• Weld holes up to 2 inches deep
• Build basic fixtures and straighten welded parts
• Visually inspect welds, tools, and equipment for defects or wear
• Perform carbon air arc cutting (testing required)
• Operate forklift (certification required/current)

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of sheet metal or metalworking experience
• Ability to use MIG and TIG to perform basic butt and fillet welds
• Ability to read blueprints and follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong hand dexterity with welding tools
• Basic math skills (addition and subtraction)
• Ability to obtain AWS D1.1 or D1.3 certifications if required
