Job summary

Vertiv in the United States is seeking a MIG Welder for cabinets and racks, fabricating, assembling and welding metal components using GMAW. Duties include operating welding equipment, ensuring structural integrity, and finishing surfaces in a warehouse production setting.

Requirements: 1+ year welding experience, ability to read blueprints, understand weld symbols, high school diploma or GED, technical training preferred; ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varied temperatures; safety and 5S

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Proficiency with GMAW/MIG welding techniques.
• Knowledge of metal properties and weld finishes.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and weld symbols to plan procedures.
• Set up welding equipment: adjust voltage, wire feed, gas flow.
• Prepare and finish welded parts: grind and sand surfaces.
• Inspect joints for porosity, cracks, and cosmetic defects.
• Maintain 5S standards and basic machine maintenance.
• Lift heavy materials up to 50lbs and work in varied temperatures.
