Job summary

Avail Staffing Company is seeking an experienced MIG Welder for an industrial manufacturing role focused on welding generator frames, enclosures, supports, brackets, and structural components used in data center and power-generation applications.

The position requires strong MIG/GMAW skills, blueprint reading, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Night shift availability is offered to support operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years MIG/GMAW welding experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Experience welding carbon steel and structural steel.
• Ability to weld in multiple positions.
• Strong understanding of welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to perform basic shop math and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG/GMAW welding on carbon steel and structural components.
• Weld generator frames, bases, supports, brackets, enclosures, and related assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, drawings, and work instructions.
• Set up welding machines, select appropriate wire and settings, and adjust as needed.
• Perform tack welding, fit-up, fabrication, and final welding.
• Use grinders, plasma cutters, saws, drills, and other fabrication tools.
• Measure dimensions with tape measures, calipers, and squares.
• Inspect welds for quality, penetration, and defects.
• Maintain welding equipment and a clean work area; follow safety procedures.
