Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology.
• ABHES/CAAHEP training options or CLIA equivalency requirements.
• Strong communication in English and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Follows safety policies and PPE use; completes required training.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Evaluates new laboratory techniques and assists with data collection.
• Maintains laboratory equipment and spaces through cleaning and disinfection.
• Performs pre-analytical activities: equipment checks, inventory, specimen collection.
• Conducts post-analytical activities: reporting results and technical support.
• Completes tests per standard operating procedures and adheres to regulations.
• May act as a preceptor to new staff and students.
• Guides technicians and resolves customer service issues.
