The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is seeking a Mental Health Technician to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role includes maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu and assisting with daily living activities.

Qualifications

• High school level reading and writing skills.
• Certification as nursing assistant or patient care technician preferred.
• Ability to maintain information as confidential and provide courteous service.
• Knowledge of psychology concepts useful, time management and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Ensure safety and therapeutic milieu; assist with activities of daily living.
• Be flexible to work with varied populations including adolescents and adults.
• Participate in crisis intervention and patient restraint when required.
• Attend mandatory training and maintain unit milieu.
