Job summary

Haven Behavioral Hospital of West Chester is seeking an Intake Specialist for a part-time role with every other Saturday night shift (7p-7:30a). The position requires a Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of experience in mental health or chemical dependency.

You will respond to inquiry calls, conduct initial assessments, coordinate admissions, and help guide patients and families through the intake process in accordance with Joint Commission and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field required.
• Minimum of one year experience in Mental Health/Chemical Dependency field working with an Age/Disability Specific population served by this facility required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop rapport with patients, families and referral sources.

Responsibilities

• Responds to inquiry calls, completes inquiry forms accurately, schedules assessments and documents follow-up actions.
• Conducts assessments at facility or other locations, performs initial triage thoroughly.
• Coordinates pre-certification and admissions processes for patients.
