Job summary

MBK Senior Living in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Medication Technician for full-time night shift. You will document, deliver, and administer medicines to residents per physician orders, with a focus on service quality and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent and be able to lift 50 lbs. Training is available; English fluency is required. Competitive benefits apply to full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or over and eligible to work in the United States.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience handling medications preferred; on-the-job training available.
• Background clearances as required by government regulations.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and push 40 lbs unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily medications, treatments and care as assigned.
• Observe, verify and document that medication is ingested or applied as directed.
• Notify supervisor if medication is not administered as directed.
• Maintain confidential records on resident medication and care.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy and physician.
• Track orders for changes and prepare medications up to 24 hours in advance.
• Participate in narcotic counts at shift start and end, report discrepancies.
• Assist caregivers with daily living activities and safety.
• Respond to resident needs promptly and kindly while maintaining dignity.
• Respond to all resident alerts and safety drills; ensure safety at all times.
