The role emphasizes compliance with HIPAA, regulatory requirements and company policies; candidates must read, write and speak English, pass background and health screenings, and maintain compassionate resident care.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or over, or have the proper work permit and work authorization documentation
• Must read, write and speak English
• Ability to follow oral and written directions
• Ability to interact effectively with people of different ages and backgrounds
• Must meet and maintain all state regulatory requirements
• Must maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
• Background clearances as required by government regulations
• Complete a health screening and provide negative TB test results (must be within the last 6 months or within 7 days of employment)

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily medications, treatments and care
• Observe, verify and document that medication is ingested or applied as directed
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy and physician(s) and verify dosages prior to dispensing
• Maintain confidential records on resident medication and care
• Respond to resident needs promptly and kindly while maintaining dignity and safety
• Assist caregivers in daily living activities and during mealtime and transport
• Perform safety checks and respond to resident alerts and emergencies
• Support the team and participate in required duties as assigned by supervisors

Education

High School diploma or equivalent
