Job summary

Heartland Senior Living in Spearfish, SD seeks a dependable Night Shift Medication Aide to administer medications, support resident care, and maintain a calm overnight environment per the resident’s plan of care and eMAR. The role requires attentiveness, reliability, and compassionate, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring residents, documenting observations, and collaborating with RN and team during shift reports.

Qualifications

• High School education/GED or previous work experience.
• Experience with the assisted living population.
• Current Medication Aide certification (required).
• Ability to work independently and remain alert during overnight hours.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and reminders per eMAR and RN delegation.
• Follow policy for PRN standing orders and narcotics documentation.
• Maintain medication cart and clean work area.
• Provide personal and direct care to residents per care plan.
• Document changes in residents’ condition and report to RN.
• Complete necessary paperwork and charting during shifts.
• Participate in team communication and shift reports.
